Job Description
The Fund Accounting Supervisor will play a key role in overseeing fund accounting operations, financial reporting, and client deliverables for a portfolio of private equity clients. Working closely with senior team members, this individual will help manage fund administration processes, ensure accurate reporting, and support strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee fund accounting activities, including capital account maintenance and financial statement preparation
- Support audit and tax preparation processes in collaboration with clients and external advisors
- Assist with capital calls, distributions, investor allocations, and partnership accounting activities
- Manage tracking and reporting of portfolio company investments and financings
- Support cash flow management, forecasting, and fund-level analysis
- Assist with quarterly reporting and investor communications
- Maintain accurate investor information within fund administration systems
- Collaborate with clients, auditors, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate deliverables
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members while contributing to process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field preferred)
- 3+ years of public accounting experience or equivalent fund accounting experience
- CPA designation or progress toward CPA preferred
- Prior private equity, venture capital, or partnership accounting experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Experience with fund accounting platforms or QuickBooks is a plus
