Our client is a leading international insurance group with a strong growth agenda across Asia, offering a diverse portfolio spanning life and health insurance, retirement solutions, HNW wealth and asset management. As the business accelerates its presence in the HNW / UHNW and wealth management space, it is seeking a strategic professional to shape global HNW initiatives, enhance market performance, oversee cross-border governance, and support international expansion in key growth markets.
* The position is open to overseas applicants willing to relocate to Hong Kong.
The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:
- Take lead as an individual contributor within a team of seasoned Strategy & Transformation professionals to drive the design and execution of priorities across HNW / UHNW business strategies, proposition and product positioning for legacy planning, protection solutions, and wealth transfer.
- Develop and execute the HNW / UHNW growth strategy, establish key performance metrics, monitor business performance, and conduct ongoing market assessments to identify strategic opportunities across priority markets.
- Lead market expansion initiatives, including opportunity evaluation, market entry planning, licensing requirements, entity establishment, and operational readiness across international jurisdictions.
- Serve as a project lead when driving execution of strategic initiatives, overseeing programme governance, and coordinating senior leadership engagement through steering committees and management forums across multiple markets.
- Design and implement cross-border referral capabilities, partnering with distribution, product, marketing, legal, and compliance teams to establish scalable operating models, governance frameworks, and quality assurance processes.
- Partner closely with Finance and Actuarial teams to enhance commercial performance, optimize capital deployment, strengthen product economics, and refine incentive structures across the region.
- Coordinate regulatory engagement and governance activities across multiple jurisdictions, supporting management reporting, stakeholder communications, and regulatory submissions as required.
Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience:
- Minimum 10+ years relevant experience in Insurance, Bancassurance, Private Banks or International Brokers specializing in HNW / UHNW, Wealth Management segment
- Specialization in strategy, products, propositions and / or partnership business development and engagement
- Expertise in life insurance, HNW wealth protection, legacy planning and cross‑border structures
- Good knowledge of HNW / wealth insurance product mechanics, pricing advantage, operating models, customer needs
- Markets exposure to China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Bermuda would be advantageous
- Demonstrated expertise in project leadership, strategic planning and cross-functional execution
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English
