Job Title: Cutover Lead – SAP S/4HANA Transformation
Type: Immediate start until the end of January 2027 (extension likely but not guaranteed)
Location: Hybrid – 3 days on site in Bern
Hourly Rate: Up to 120 CHF per hour dependant on experience
We are seeking an experienced Cutover Lead to support a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation programme, managing the development and coordination of cutover work packages across multiple business functions.
This role is responsible for ensuring a structured, coordinated and successful transition from SAP R/3 to S/4HANA, working closely with business stakeholders, subject matter experts and the wider cutover organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the development of cutover work instructions and operational workarounds.
- Plan and facilitate workshops with business stakeholders and subject matter experts.
- Ensure quality, completeness and consistency of work packages, including cross-functional dependencies.
- Monitor cutover timelines, milestones, risks and escalations.
- Coordinate activities across PPM/PS, EAM, Logistics, Purchasing and Finance.
- Represent the business division within the wider transformation and cutover programme.
- Communicate decisions, requirements and risks to relevant stakeholders.
- Act as the central point of contact between the business and the cutover organisation.
Essential Requirements
- 10+ years of experience delivering complex transformation projects.
- Strong background in project, programme or transformation management.
- Proven experience coordinating complex, cross-functional initiatives.
- Excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong risk management, escalation and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities and drive execution.
- Very good German and good English language skills.
Desirable Experience
- Cutover experience within SAP transformation or S/4HANA programmes.
- Knowledge of SAP Activate or comparable transformation methodologies.
- Understanding of freeze periods, quality gates and phased go-live approaches.
- Conceptual knowledge of SAP modules including PS/PPM, EAM/PM, MM/PUR, SD/LOG and FI/CO.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, MS Project or similar project management tools.
