We’re partnering with a leading Life Insurance organization undertaking a major, multi-year transformation programme and are looking for a Lead Experience Designer to help shape the future of its Stop Loss business.
This is more than a traditional UX role. You’ll lead the end-to-end experience strategy for a greenfield, AI-enabled platform, defining how users, workflows, technology, and AI come together to create a modern operating model across underwriting, claims, policy administration, sales, account management, and servicing.
Working closely with Product, Engineering, Architecture, Business SMEs, and implementation partners, you’ll help redesign complex insurance processes from the ground up, creating intuitive, scalable experiences that improve productivity today while supporting future broker and customer experiences.
Key responsibilities include:
- Defining the end-to-end experience vision across a large-scale platform transformation.
- Designing intuitive workflows across underwriting, claims, sales, account management, policy administration, billing, and renewals.
- Creating journey maps, service blueprints, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
- Designing AI-assisted experiences that combine human expertise with intelligent recommendations in a transparent and trusted way.
- Reimagining workflows and operating models to remove friction, reduce manual effort, and enable straight-through processing.
- Establishing design systems, UX standards, and reusable components to create consistency across the platform.
- Partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Architecture, and business stakeholders to ensure experiences are implementation-ready and aligned to business outcomes.
We’re looking for someone with experience leading enterprise platform design, complex workflow design, journey mapping, service design, and AI-enabled user experiences. Strong experience with Figma, design systems, and Agile delivery environments is important. Experience within Insurance, particularly underwriting, claims, or policy administration is highly desirable, although candidates from other complex, highly regulated industries such as Financial Services, Healthcare, or Enterprise SaaS will also be considered.
This is a fully remote, contract 2 hire opportunity offering the chance to play a key role in building an industry-leading platform and defining the future user experience for a major Life Insurance organization.
If you’re passionate about solving complex problems, simplifying intricate workflows, and designing the next generation of AI-enabled experiences, we’d love to hear from you.
