Position Summary

The Property & Casualty Production Leader will be responsible for originating new business opportunities, developing long-term client relationships, and partnering with internal broking, risk management, claims, and specialty practice teams to deliver tailored solutions for clients.

This individual will be expected to lead from the front, serving as both a strategic advisor and trusted business partner to clients while contributing to the broader growth strategy of the Canadian business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic business development plan focused on generating new Property & Casualty revenue.
  • Prospect, cultivate, and close new client opportunities across targeted industries and market segments.
  • Build and maintain relationships with C-suite executives, risk managers, finance leaders, and business owners.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional services including employee benefits, cyber, multinational, construction, marine, surety, and specialty solutions.
  • Partner with broking and placement teams to design and deliver customized insurance and risk management programs.
  • Lead client presentations, stewardship meetings, renewal strategy discussions, and executive-level negotiations.
  • Serve as a market ambassador by actively participating in industry associations, networking events, and business development initiatives.
  • Mentor and support junior producers and account professionals where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with national and global colleagues to deliver seamless service to complex and multinational clients.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of insurance industry experience with a strong focus on Property & Casualty.
  • Proven track record of generating and closing new business opportunities.
  • Existing network of relationships within the Canadian insurance marketplace.
  • Experience working with middle-market, large commercial, or multinational clients.
  • Strong understanding of casualty, property, umbrella, excess liability, cyber, management liability, and specialty insurance products.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior executives and navigate complex sales cycles.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong desire to build and grow a book of business.
