Product Counsel – Personal Auto [FULLY REMOTE]
Responsibilities

Draft and revise policy language, endorsements, and coverage enhancements for personal auto products across multiple states.

Monitor insurance regulations, legislation, and industry developments and advise business teams on compliance.

Identify and mitigate regulatory and compliance risks.

Review underwriting guidelines, product materials, and marketing materials for legal and regulatory compliance.

Partner with product development teams on state-specific requirements and product filings.

Research regulatory issues and provide legal guidance, opinions, and memoranda.

Support implementation of regulatory and compliance changes across the business.
Requirements
-
MUST HAVE J.D.
-
MUST HAVE California bar.
-
7-10 years of legal experience focused on personal auto insurance products.

In-house auto carrier experience strongly preferred.

Strong knowledge of personal auto products and state insurance regulations.

Excellent legal research, writing, communication, and business judgment.

Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
