Overview

The Reinsurance Reporting Principal plays a critical role in supporting complex financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting for the organization. Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Analysis and Reporting:

• Lead bordereaux reporting and analysis.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive financial reports, providing insights to inform key business decisions.
• Prepare high-level monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including management reports.
• Analyze historical data to project future financial performance and prepare financial models for forecasting and planning.

2. Risk Management and Compliance:

• Identify potential risks in financial processes and recommend improvements for mitigating those risks.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors during reviews and audits.

3. Strategic Support and Initiative Management:

• Provide data-driven insights to support strategic initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, and other complex projects.
• Assist in the development of strategic business plans and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Manage and oversee assigned financial projects, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.

4. Process Improvement and System Integration:

• Mentor and guide junior analysts and team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Educational Background:

• Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field (MSc, MBA preferred).

Professional Experience:

• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in reinsurance accounting, preferably in a principal or senior role.
• Proven experience in managing complex projects and providing strategic financial insights.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in advanced Excel, ERP systems, SQL, and other relevant financial software.
• Strong understanding of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and regulatory frameworks.
