Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP and statutory accounting principles.
- Support technical accounting research and the implementation of new accounting standards.
- Partner with finance and business stakeholders on life insurance and reinsurance accounting matters.
- Assist with external audits, regulatory reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Develop financial analysis and reporting to support business performance and strategic decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and internal controls.
Requirements:
- CPA qualified.
- Public accounting experience with a Big 4 or national accounting firm.
- Experience auditing or advising life insurance and/or reinsurance clients.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and insurance accounting principles (statutory accounting experience is highly desirable).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote, collaborative environment.
