Securities Borrowing & Lending Officer

Are you analytical, detail-oriented, and interested in the financial markets? We are currently partnering with a leading international financial institution to recruit a Securities Borrowing & Lending Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of securities lending transactions while playing a key role within the global capital markets.

Your Responsibilities

This position combines operational excellence with extensive stakeholder interaction. Approximately half of your time will be dedicated to transaction processing and analysis, while the other half involves communicating with both internal and external stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring outstanding securities lending transactions.
  • Investigating and resolving settlement delays.
  • Determining which securities need to be borrowed or lent.
  • Ensuring transactions comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Processing transactions across multiple systems.
  • Working closely with Trading, Treasury, Operations, and other internal departments.
  • Keeping clients informed about transaction status and responding to operational queries.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and contributing to automation initiatives.

Who Are We Looking For?

You are naturally curious, analytical, and enjoy solving complex operational challenges. You thrive in a dynamic environment where priorities can change quickly and accuracy is essential.

In addition, you have:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 0-3 years of relevant work experience. Recent graduates with a strong interest in financial markets are encouraged to apply.
  • A genuine interest in financial markets and capital markets operations.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • A proactive, accurate, and resilient working style.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of SQL and/or Python.
  • Experience within Securities, Markets Operations, Clearing, Settlement, Investment Operations, or a similar environment.
