Senior Accounting Manager | Virginia | Hybrid
I’m working exclusively with a growing, privately held insurance business in Northern Virginia that is looking to appoint a Senior Accounting Manager into a newly created position.
This is a key hire within a close-knit finance team, working directly alongside the Controller and taking ownership of day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting and team oversight.
The role will suit someone looking to step into a genuine number two position, with the opportunity to influence processes, develop the team and provide broader leadership across the finance function.
What they’re looking for:

7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibility.

Strong technical accounting, financial reporting and month-end close experience.

Insurance industry experience, ideally within a brokerage or agency environment.

Exposure to commission accounting, carrier reconciliations and insurance revenue recognition would be advantageous.

Public accounting and audit experience, alongside a CPA, would be well received. Although those coming directly from Insurance, would also be considered strong candidates.
