Oliver James are pleased to be working with a fast-growing healthcare organization that is continuing to expand its actuarial capabilities as it brings additional Value-Based Care analytics and financial performance work in-house.
The team supports the financial performance of a growing portfolio of Value-Based Care arrangements, including health plan partnerships and ACO programs. At this level, you’ll take ownership of actuarial and financial analysis across these arrangements, working closely with Finance, Clinical and Analytics teams to understand medical cost and utilization trends, identify the underlying drivers of performance and translate complex healthcare data into meaningful financial insights.
We’re particularly interested in individuals with:
- ASA credentials with 4+ years of healthcare actuarial experience
- Strong experience working with healthcare claims and membership/eligibility data
- Experience across Value-Based Care, ACOs, Medicare Advantage and/or health plan actuarial reporting
- Expertise across areas such as medical cost/utilization, forecasting, reserving/IBNR, risk adjustment, total cost of care or VBC financial performance
- Strong SQL and Excel capabilities, with SAS, Python and/or R experience also beneficial
This is an opportunity to join a growing actuarial function where you’ll have significant ownership, broad exposure across VBC financial performance and the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership. The position offers an excellent pathway for an ASA looking to broaden their experience across provider-side risk and progress within a developing actuarial team.
