Senior Claims Examiner – Medical Malpractice

Excellent base salary $145,000 – $175,000 + 10% annual bonus
A leading insurance organization hiring a Senior Claims Examiner for their Medical Malpractice team. This is a senior-level technical role handling complex a range of medical malpractice / healthcare claims, along with other E&O claims if required. You will manage mid to high-exposure claims from first notice through resolution, with a strong focus on coverage analysis, litigation strategy, and stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle mid to complex medical malpractice / healthcare E&O claims through to conclusion
- Lead coverage investigations and draft detailed coverage position letters independently
- Manage litigated files, coordinating defense counsel and driving strategy through to resolution
- Evaluate liability, damages, and settlement exposure on higher-severity claims
- Maintain strong relationships with brokers, insureds, attorneys, and internal stakeholders
Qualifications
- 4+ years medical malpractice / healthcare claims experience gained from an insurer or law firm. Please note we can consider Attorneys looking to move in-house to insurance
- P&C Adjuster License – essential to be considered
- Strong experience with bodily injury cases within healthcare claims
- Strong exposure to coverage interpretation and other coverage matters
- Experienced within litigation through all stages of the claims process
- Background with a reputable carrier or law firm
- Bachelor’s degree required
