My client, a leading Private Credit firm is looking for a Senior Fund Accountant to join their expanding team to handle internal fund accounting. Our client works on a hybrid basis in downtown Chicago, offers competitive compensation, comprehensive health, PTO and retirement benefits.
What you’ll do:
- Support fund accounting & reporting across investment vehicles (US GAAP + partnership agreements)
- Maintain the general ledger and help streamline automated entries
- Prepare capital allocation schedules, including complex incentive fee calcs
- Support investor reporting, capital calls, and distributions
- Partner with Treasury, Investor Relations, and Leadership on fund operations
- Assist with financial statement prep and external audit support
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred
- 3+ years in private equity, leveraged finance, hedge funds, or public accounting (financial services)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with Workday, Access, Wall Street Office, or similar a plus
- Comfortable using AI tools thoughtfully in daily work
- Excited to work in-office and help build a strong team culture
