Senior Manager – Investment Accounting
Our client, a leading insurance organization, is seeking a Senior Manager, Investment Accounting to lead its investment accounting function. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for overseeing investment accounting and reporting, driving process improvements, and partnering with senior finance executives to support strategic business initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Manage the accounting and financial reporting for complex investment portfolios.
- Ensure timely and accurate statutory and US GAAP reporting.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and accounting requirements.
- Partner with Finance, Treasury, Investments, and executive leadership on key business initiatives.
- Analyze investment performance, identify risks, and implement process improvements.
- Lead accounting policy implementation, systems enhancements, and operational transformation projects.
- Mentor and develop staff while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of investment accounting experience within insurance or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of statutory accounting (SAP) and US GAAP.
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing accounting teams.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with investment accounting platforms and financial reporting systems.
