Senior Project Manager – Insurance / Financial Services

Location: Dublin – Hybrid (3 days per week in the office)
Day Rate: €500-€550 per day
Contract: 6 months initially, with a view to extension

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join a leading organisation in Dublin on an initial 6-month contract, with a strong possibility of extension.

The successful candidate will be a hands-on project delivery professional with proven experience managing both IT and business-focused projects, ideally within the insurance or wider financial services sector. A key part of the role will involve delivering technology and business change, including AI-related initiatives, while managing external vendors and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex IT and business projects, from initiation through to implementation and closure.

• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies and resources to ensure successful delivery.

• Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to define requirements, priorities and delivery plans.

• Lead the delivery and implementation of AI-related changes and initiatives, ensuring appropriate governance and stakeholder engagement.

• Manage third-party suppliers and vendors, including delivery performance, timelines, dependencies and commercial considerations.

• Identify, manage and mitigate project risks and issues, escalating where appropriate.

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across business and technology teams.

• Coordinate cross-functional project teams and ensure clear ownership of deliverables.

Essential Experience

The successful candidate will have:

• Proven Insurance and/or Financial Services industry experience.

• Strong hands-on experience delivering both IT and business projects.

• Demonstrable experience delivering AI-related technology or business change initiatives.

• Strong vendor and third-party management experience.

• Experience managing multiple stakeholders across business and technology functions.

• Strong project governance, risk, issue and dependency management skills.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• A proven track record of delivering projects successfully within challenging environments.
