Job Title: Solution Architect
Duration: Immediate start for an initial 6 months – option of prolongation
Location: Zurich (40% remote) – Must be already based in Switzerland.
Daily Rate: Up to 1000 CHF per day (can be discussed)
Oliver James are supporting a large insurance programme in Switzerland and are looking for an experienced Solution Architect to join a global claims transformation initiative. This is a senior, hands-on role with real ownership – developing and shaping the global insurance platform.
Responsibilities
- Analysing and implementing the insurance Group components within the Swiss claims landscape
- Defining local architecture and required enhancements
- Guiding and supporting developers across multiple locations
- Ensuring high code quality through reviews, testing, and best practice
- Working closely with stakeholders to align global standards with local needs
Tech & Tools
- Java, REST, Spring, ABS, CISL, Git, JUnit, Jenkins, JIRA, Eclipse / IntelliJ
What we’re looking for
- Strong experience as a Solution Architect
- Solid Java background (Java 12+), Spring / Spring Boot
- Experience with OSGi / Eclipse Plug-ins
- Comfortable working in international, distributed teams
- Confident leading technically and pushing delivery forward
Desirable
- Claims domain knowledge (Motor / Claims processes)
- Camunda
- Azure / Cloud exposure
- Ability to do business in German
