An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Statistical Reporting Supervisor to lead regulatory and statistical reporting activities within the Property and Casualty insurance sector. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely submission of regulatory data, overseeing reporting processes, mentoring a team, and driving continuous process improvements. The successful candidate will be a proactive leader with strong analytical capabilities who thrives in a collaborative environment and can effectively manage multiple priorities. The position includes peak reporting periods that may require additional working hours, along with occasional travel.
Detailed Job Description
The Statistical Reporting Supervisor will lead the preparation, review, and submission of statistical and regulatory reports to insurance departments, statistical bureaus, and other regulatory authorities while ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the timely and accurate submission of regulatory data calls and statistical reports
- Review, interpret, and implement regulatory reporting requirements and reporting changes
- Provide technical guidance and training on regulatory reporting requirements
- Determine reporting requirements for new insurance products and ensure required data is captured
- Act as the primary contact for regulatory reporting inquiries and resolve reporting issues
- Collect, analyze, reconcile, and validate data from multiple sources while investigating discrepancies
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes through automation and operational efficiencies
- Develop, maintain, and update reporting procedures and documentation
- Supervise, mentor, train, and evaluate team members while supporting cross training initiatives
- Allocate work across the team and monitor reporting priorities and deadlines
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities for reporting systems and enhancements
- Manage ad hoc reporting and regulatory projects as required
- Maintain accurate and organized documentation of reporting activities and supporting materials
- Support compliance with statutory reporting requirements and internal controls
- Participate in occasional business travel as needed
