Take Your Tax Career Beyond Traditional Public Accounting
Are you a Tax Senior or Associate Manager looking for greater variety, exposure to larger corporate clients, and an opportunity to develop your career beyond the traditional public accounting model?
We are partnering with an established national accounting and advisory consulting firm that works with some of the country’s largest corporations on complex, high-impact tax projects.
This opportunity is particularly suited to professionals from Big 4 or large public accounting firms who enjoy the technical side of tax but are looking to broaden their experience, work directly with corporate tax and finance teams, and contribute to projects that extend beyond the annual compliance cycle.
The Opportunity
As a Tax Advisory Associate Manager, you will have the opportunity to support major corporate clients across a variety of industries, working on assignments involving:
-
Federal and state corporate tax compliance and reporting.
-
Corporate income tax provisions and tax accounting.
-
Tax planning, research, and advisory initiatives.
-
Tax audits, controversy, and audit defense.
-
M&A-related tax projects, transactions, and restructuring.
-
Tax process improvements, technology implementations, and business transformation initiatives.
-
IPO readiness and other complex corporate tax projects.
Rather than being limited to a single client portfolio or recurring compliance deadlines, you’ll gain exposure to different businesses, challenges, and corporate environments, developing a broader commercial and technical skill set.
What We’re Looking For
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
-
3+ years of tax experience within a Big 4 or large public accounting firm.
-
At least one completed busy season at Senior Associate level.
-
Strong corporate tax compliance experience – essential.
-
Exposure to corporate income tax provisions (ASC 740) is highly desirable.
-
Partnership tax experience is advantageous.
-
CPA qualification or active progress toward obtaining a CPA is preferred.
-
Strong Excel skills, analytical capabilities, and attention to detail.
-
Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work directly with client stakeholders.
-
Adaptability, commercial awareness, and an interest in working across different industries and projects.
We’re particularly interested in candidates who have demonstrated career progression and are motivated to expand their technical expertise beyond traditional tax compliance.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
Broader Experience: Work with major corporations on complex tax matters, gaining exposure to different industries, systems, and business challenges.
Career Development: Build transferable skills across corporate tax, tax accounting, advisory, transactions, and business transformation.
