Overview
We are looking for an experienced Venafi Security Engineer to support the implementation, administration, and optimisation of enterprise certificate lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support the Venafi platform (TPP, TLS Protect, or Venafi as a Service).
- Manage the full lifecycle of digital certificates, including issuance, renewal, and revocation.
- Integrate Venafi with enterprise Certificate Authorities (Microsoft CA, DigiCert, Entrust, etc.).
- Automate certificate management using PowerShell, Python, or REST APIs.
- Troubleshoot PKI, TLS/SSL, and certificate-related issues.
- Work with infrastructure, cloud, DevOps, and application teams to onboard new certificate use cases.
- Maintain documentation and support security and compliance initiatives.
Required Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in Cyber Security, PKI, or Infrastructure Security.
- Strong hands-on experience with Venafi (TPP and/or TLS Protect).
- Solid understanding of PKI, TLS/SSL, and X.509 certificates.
- Experience integrating with enterprise Certificate Authorities.
- Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, or Bash).
- Strong troubleshooting and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, or CI/CD tools.
- Experience with F5, NGINX, IIS, or Apache.
- Relevant security or cloud certifications.
