An established and growing insurance firm in Denver, Colorado is looking for a VP of Operations to play a critical leadership role in scaling the business. This is a broad, hands-on operator position for someone who enjoys building infrastructure, improving processes, integrating businesses & technology, managing teams and sitting at the executive table whilst working across every part of an organization.
The ideal candidate combines strong operational leadership with insurance-industry experience and is comfortable moving between strategy and execution. Experience with Applied Epic is highly desirable.
This is a hybrid or full time role in Denver, Colorado
Responsibilities
- Operations: Lead day-to-day operations, build scalable processes, establish KPIs and drive efficiency, profitability and service improvements.
- Leadership: Partner with executives to translate strategy into execution and serve as a cross-functional business leader.
- Vendors: Manage key vendors, including selection, negotiation, performance and optimization.
- Infrastructure: Oversee back-office functions, systems and processes supporting growth, including finance, administration, compliance and technology.
- M&A: Lead operational due diligence and post-acquisition integration, coordinating systems, processes, people and data.
- Data & Technology: Drive systems integration, automation, reporting and technology initiatives that support scale.
- Applied Epic experience strongly preferred, particularly implementations, integrations, data migration or process optimization.
Required Skills/Background:
- 7+ years of progressive operations, business management or general management experience.
- Applied Epic experience strongly preferred.
- Insurance industry experience
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional operations and build scalable processes in a growing organization.
- Experience with M&A, post-acquisition integration or business transformation.
- Strong understanding of systems, data, process design and technology integrations.
- Experience managing vendors and strategic partners.
- Strong analytical, project-management and communication skills.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Commercially minded, solutions-oriented and comfortable creating structure, accountability and clarity
