Commercial Real Estate Attorney

Role Description

The Commercial Real Estate Attorney role is a full-time, on-site position based in Manhattan. The attorney will advise clients on the acquisition, disposal, leasing, and development of commercial real estate assets, drafting and negotiating contracts, leases, and related documentation. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting due diligence on properties and transactions, reviewing title and planning documentation, and identifying and mitigating legal risks. The attorney will also support broader real estate strategy, participate in negotiations, and contribute to knowledge sharing and best practices within the team.
Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in Law, with demonstrable experience in Commercial Real Estate matters.
  • Expertise in Leases, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial lease agreements.
  • Proficiency in Due Diligence related to real estate transactions, including title, planning, and regulatory reviews.
  • Borrower side representation experience advantageous.
  • Qualified solicitor or attorney with admission in New York; prior practice in a reputable law firm or in-house team.
  • Excellent analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills, with attention to detail and sound commercial judgement.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters concurrently, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in an on-site team environment.
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills; experience with cross-border or international transactions is an advantage.
