Overview
The Contract Governance Analyst supports the governance and commercial management of strategic third-party supplier contracts. Working closely with Business, Finance, and Legal teams, this role helps ensure contractual compliance, manages supplier performance, supports commercial activities, and maintains effective governance processes.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Governance & Commercial Management
- Administer supplier contracts, including MSAs, SOWs, amendments, and change orders.
- Maintain contract documentation and track key milestones, renewals, pricing changes, and contractual obligations.
- Validate supplier invoices and support pricing updates, scope changes, and other commercial adjustments.
- Review contract terms, identify issues, and escalate risks as appropriate.
- Identify opportunities to improve commercial value and optimise costs.
Reporting, Compliance & Risk
- Prepare governance reports, dashboards, and executive summaries.
- Analyse supplier performance, contract spend, and commercial metrics.
- Support budget tracking, financial reconciliations, and ad hoc reporting.
- Monitor contractual compliance, support audit activities, and ensure adherence to company policies and procurement standards.
Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and supplier representatives.
- Respond to contract and governance inquiries in a timely manner.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support supplier governance and contract management activities.
Process Improvement
- Recommend improvements to governance processes, reporting, and documentation.
- Help standardise templates and governance practices.
- Support initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and supplier performance.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in contract management, procurement, supplier governance, vendor management, finance, or a similar discipline.
- Understanding of commercial contracts, SOWs, and contract lifecycle management.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail.
Desirable
- Experience supporting IT, BPO, or professional services contracts.
- Familiarity with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems and procurement tools.
- Experience creating dashboards, reports, and executive presentations.
- Knowledge of supplier performance metrics, invoice validation, and commercial pricing.
