Fund Controller – Private Credit

Oliver James have partnered exclusively with a global investment management firm who possess $400b AUM across various asset classes as they look to identify a Fund Controller within their Real Estate Investment function based out of Manhattan.

The well reputable organisation are seeking a Controller to take responsibility for the financial and investor reporting for a platform of private credit funds and separate accounts worth approximately $30b AUM.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the team across daily accounting and finance responsibilities for their Private Credit investment platform worth up to $30b AUM.
  • Monthly and Quarterly financial reporting, including review of transactional activity, management fees, carried interest calculations, performance metrics, financial statement preparation.
  • Management and supervision of fund administrators, auditors, tax preparers etc.
  • Working closely with Business and Operations team to understand and support acquisitions, dispositions and financing arrangements.
  • Working closely with Investment Team to ensure valuations used in the financial and investor reporting processes are accurate.
  • Review of Limited Partnership Agreements and other agreements to ensure accuracy and compliance with fund allocations, organisation costs, management fees and carried interest.
  • Review and understanding of fund structures.

Requirements:

  • CPA qualification
  • 7-10 years of experience across Big 4 Accounting and the Private Sector
  • Prior experience with Real Estate Debt or General Debt Strategies
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
