Oliver James is partnering with a growing insurance business to recruit an ambitious graduate or early-career accountant. This opportunity offers direct mentorship from an experienced Senior Accountant, exposure to senior finance leadership and the chance to build a strong foundation across accounting and financial reporting.

What you’ll be doing
With training and support, you will:

Assist with journal entries and monthly close activities.

Prepare bank, general ledger and balance-sheet reconciliations.

Support accounts payable, cash accounting and day-to-day accounting operations.

Help prepare financial schedules and reporting across multiple entities.

Investigate discrepancies and work with colleagues to resolve them.

Support audit requests, documentation and process improvements.
What we’re looking for

A recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline with strong accounting coursework.

GPA of at least 3.5 Minimum.

An understanding of accounting fundamentals and a desire to develop further.

Good Excel skills, attention to detail and an organized approach.

Someone who asks questions, welcomes feedback and enjoys working as part of a team.

Internships or previous accounting experience are welcome, but candidates starting their first full-time accounting role are encouraged to apply.

Insurance experience is not required; an interest in pursuing the CPA is a plus.
