Location: 2 days per week in London or Bristol

The client
A UK specialist retail bank is looking for an experienced Operational Resilience Governance Manager to join its first-line Operational Resilience team. The role sits within the Identify & Prepare pillar and owns governance, oversight, reporting and engagement across the resilience framework.

The role

  • Maintain the UK Operational Resilience policy and framework, working with Group and Second Line teams
  • Own templates, artefacts and methodology standards
  • Run the UK Operational Resilience Forum and produce MI and reporting that supports decision-making
  • Embed resilience-by-design into change, including oversight of high-risk change and its impact on Important Business Services
  • Maintain controls, assurance activity, risks and issues, feeding updates into UK risk teams
  • Lead horizon scanning, regulatory engagement and information requests
  • Represent the bank at industry forums such as UK Finance’s Operational Resilience Committee
  • Deliver training and awareness sessions across the business, and manage internal Op Res comms
  • Line manage a Senior Analyst

What you’ll bring

  • Strong, hands-on operational resilience experience within UK financial services
  • Solid working knowledge of the PRA/FCA operational resilience regime, with exposure to DORA
  • Experience running governance forums, producing resilience MI and working with Second Line
  • Confident stakeholder management across Operations, IT, Risk, Change and senior leadership
