We are currently seeking an S&OP Controller for a leading international organisation operating in a complex global environment. The company has a strong focus on operational excellence, continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making. In this international setting, you will collaborate with stakeholders across different business functions to support strategic planning and enhance overall business performance.
The role
As an S&OP Controller, you will be responsible for supporting the financial side of the Sales & Operations Planning process. Working closely with the Planning and Finance teams, you will deliver financial insights, assess different business scenarios and contribute to strategic decision-making.
By connecting financial analysis with operational planning, you will help improve planning outcomes, optimise business performance and support the organisation in achieving its financial and operational objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Support financial scenario analysis and decision-making throughout the S&OP process.
- Provide end-to-end insight into how S&OP decisions affect profitability, capacity and inventory.
- Help develop the S&OP process from a volume-focused approach towards value-based decision-making.
- Supply financial data to Commercial and Operational Finance teams for forecasting and outlook processes.
- Contribute to automation and process-improvement initiatives by connecting planning and financial insights.
- Proactively identify opportunities to simplify and optimise current processes and ways of working.
- Provide financial input during S&OP meetings to support capacity and planning decisions.
- Prepare monthly reports and consolidate data for the Global S&OP meeting.
- Serve as a backup for another S&OP Controller within the team.
- Support and constructively challenge the Planning team from a financial perspective.
The team
You will become part of an international Finance team that supports the global supply chain organisation. Within the S&OP Controlling team, you will collaborate closely with Planning, Commercial Finance, Supply Chain Finance, Plant Controllers and other international stakeholders. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment within a global matrix organisation.
What we are looking for
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- A proactive approach and the confidence to challenge the business constructively.
- Experience working within cross-functional teams and matrix organisations.
- Previous experience in Commercial Finance, Business Controlling or Supply Chain Finance.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with SAP, HFM and/or Power BI is considered an advantage.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to build relationships across different functions and levels.
