Technology & AI Innovation Specialist

Technology & AI Innovation Specialist

Background

Organisations across many sectors are undergoing significant change driven by artificial intelligence, automation, data, evolving customer expectations and new approaches to service delivery. As technology continues to develop rapidly, there is an increasing need for organisations to adopt new tools and ways of working in a practical, responsible and commercially valuable manner.

The Technology & Innovation function plays a central role in this agenda. The team helps the organisation identify, assess, implement and scale technologies and working practices that can improve how services are delivered. It manages a portfolio of emerging technologies across their full lifecycle – from horizon scanning and opportunity assessment, through experimentation, business cases and implementation, to adoption, optimisation and eventual retirement.

A particular focus is placed on AI enablement, including the adoption and effective use of generative AI, productivity tools and AI-powered applications. The team works closely with operational teams, subject-matter experts, risk and compliance functions, technology teams and senior leadership to ensure that new technologies are introduced effectively, responsibly and in alignment with organisational priorities.

Reporting to a senior member of the Technology & Innovation function, you will develop expertise across a range of technology solutions, build project and change management skills, contribute to technology and supplier assessments, and support the implementation and adoption of new solutions within the organisation.

There will be a significant emphasis on generative AI and AI enablement, providing an opportunity to develop a foundational understanding of AI and practical experience applying AI tools to everyday business activities.

This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced and demanding professional environment and is excited by the potential for process redesign, automation and AI to transform how organisations operate over the coming years.
