We’re seeking a Trade Surveillance Analyst with experience across Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange (FX), and Commodities (FICC) to join our Global Compliance team. You’ll play a key role in monitoring trading activity, investigating potential market abuse, and partnering with Trading, Compliance, and Technology to strengthen surveillance controls across global markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform T+1 surveillance reviews across Fixed Income, FX and Commodities trading activity, ensuring adherence to regulatory and internal deadlines.
- Review and investigate surveillance alerts to identify potential market abuse, regulatory breaches, or policy violations.
- Analyse trading activity, market data, and trade flows to determine appropriate escalation and document investigations.
- Develop expertise in FICC market abuse typologies, including spoofing, layering, wash trades, and other manipulative trading behaviours.
- Support surveillance model calibration, parameter tuning, and process improvements to enhance monitoring effectiveness.
- Partner with Trading, Compliance Advisory, Operations, and Technology on investigations, regulatory requests, and surveillance initiatives.
- Stay current on evolving regulations, including MAR, MiFID II, and broader market conduct expectations.
- Contribute to audit activities, surveillance projects, and knowledge sharing within the Global Surveillance team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of strong experience covering Fixed Income, FX, and Commodities (FICC). Trade surveillance experience is desirable, not mandatory.
- Strong understanding of FICC products, trade lifecycle, and market abuse risks.
- Experience investigating surveillance alerts within a financial institution or regulator.
- Knowledge of MAR, MiFID II, and European market conduct regulations. APAC regulatory knowledge is a plus.
