Oliver James are partnered with a specialist UK insurer who are looking for a Life or Pensions Qualified Actuary to join their Financial and Actuarial Team.
Location: Central London x 3 days per week in the office
Salary: £80,000 – £90,000 + 25% bonus – please note that salary will depend on experience and PQE.
This is a great opportunity to combine technical and commercial skills, liaising with different business units and gaining broad exposure across the wider business. You will work closely with the Finance, Origination, Risk and Investment, providing insight and analysis to support senior management and key business decisions.
You will be involved in the preparation of regular forecasts and business plans, supporting Solvency monitoring and business plan projections, as well as responding to ad-hoc queries from senior stakeholders and shareholders. There is also opportunity to support with the stress and scenario testing across the balance sheet.
The ideal candidate:

Life/Pensions Actuary (NNQ – 4 years PQE, but more experience welcome)

Good technical knowledge of financial reporting

Commercially minded with the ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders

Previous experience in a similar position would be highly desirable
