Senior Accountant – Financial Reporting
Hybrid position – Great for mover from Assurance/Audit
Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a Senior Accountant to support financial reporting and accounting activities. This role offers exposure to insurance operations, reinsurance structures, and regulatory reporting while working closely with cross-functional teams across finance and accounting.
Responsibilities
- Support quarterly and annual US GAAP and Statutory financial reporting.
- Prepare financial analyses, reporting schedules, and management reporting packages.
- Assist with accounting for insurance and reinsurance transactions.
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Maintain and document internal controls and reporting processes.
- Partner with auditors, business stakeholders, and external service providers.
- Support process improvement initiatives, new transactions, and accounting projects.
- Assist with ad hoc reporting and financial analysis requests.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA or CPA desierable.
- 4-8 years of accounting, financial reporting, audit, or insurance accounting experience.
- Understanding of US GAAP; Statutory accounting experience preferred.
- Insurance, reinsurance, or financial services industry experience is advantageous.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Advanced Excel skills required; ERP/GL system experience preferred.
