Director of Product Management – Digital Data Platforms | Life Insurance
We’re partnering with a leading Life Insurance organization that is making significant investments in its Digital, Data, and Product capabilities.
The Director of Product Management – Digital Data Platforms will own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for a portfolio of enterprise data platforms that support critical business operations, customer experiences, and digital transformation initiatives.
This is a fully remote, contract-to-hire opportunity (typically 4-6 months) with a clear path to a permanent leadership position.
The Opportunity
Data is a critical component of the organization’s digital strategy. This role will lead a portfolio of enterprise data products and platforms that enable customer, operational, and business capabilities across the organization.
You will oversee platforms including Customer Master Data, Enterprise Data Integrations, Enterprise Content Management (FileNet P8), and other core data capabilities that support key applications, processes, and business functions.
This is not a traditional maintenance-focused Product role. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to modernize enterprise data capabilities, improve scalability and governance, and help shape the future direction of the organization’s digital and data ecosystem.
Leading a team of, you will provide strategic leadership while partnering closely with Engineering, Architecture, Data, and Business stakeholders to deliver high-impact initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence across Technology and Business teams
- Proven experience leading and developing Product Management teams within complex enterprise environments
- Experience managing Product Owners and building high-performing product organizations
- Strong understanding of enterprise data platforms, data integrations, APIs, and modern data capabilities
- Experience with Master Data Management (MDM), enterprise integrations, content management platforms, or similar enterprise technology solutions
- Ability to balance strategic product vision with hands-on execution and delivery
- Data-driven mindset focused on scalability, governance, quality, and operational efficiency
- Experience modernizing legacy platforms and driving enterprise digital transformation initiatives
- Strong understanding of Product Management frameworks, operating models, and governance practices
- Ability to build strong relationships with senior leaders, technical teams, and business stakeholders
- Insurance experience strongly preferred
Requirements
- Proven track record leading Product Management teams within enterprise technology, digital, or data environments
- Experience owning complex technical platforms including Master Data Management, enterprise data integrations, content management platforms (such as FileNet P8), APIs, or similar enterprise capabilities
- Strong understanding of data platforms, data architecture concepts, and modern data engineering practices
- Demonstrated experience transforming products, platforms, operating models, or product organizations from the ground up
- Experience partnering closely with Engineering, Architecture, Data, and Business teams to deliver large-scale technology initiatives
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leadership
- Experience operating within Agile product organizations and implementing structured product governance
