D&O/ML Broker – Private Equity & Transactional Risk

About the Opportunity
A growing specialty insurance team is seeking an Associate Broker/ Broker with D&O experience, to support private equity and transactional risk clients across a range of complex insurance programs. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career broker looking to deepen their expertise within the private equity and M&A space while working closely with experienced industry professionals.
The successful candidate will gain exposure to private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, transaction-related insurance placements, and diligence-driven advisory work. This role offers a clear path for professional growth and increased client responsibility over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the placement and management of management liability and transactional insurance programs for private equity clients and portfolio companies.
- Assist with insurance diligence reviews related to acquisitions, divestitures, and portfolio company assessments.
- Analyze insurance program structures, coverage terms, limits, and benchmarking data.
- Prepare client-facing reports, presentations, and insurance summaries in a timely and accurate manner.
- Coordinate with underwriters and insurance markets to obtain quotations, negotiate terms, and support renewals and new placements.
- Participate in client meetings and contribute to strategic discussions regarding risk management and insurance program optimization.
- Maintain awareness of market developments, coverage trends, and carrier appetite within the private equity sector.
- Work collaboratively with senior brokers and advisors to deliver high-quality client service.

Qualifications
- Approximately 2-6 years of insurance brokerage, underwriting, or advisory experience.
- Exposure to private equity, portfolio company, management liability, D&O, EPL, fiduciary liability, transactional risk, or related lines preferred.
- Experience supporting diligence, benchmarking, coverage analysis, or client reporting initiatives is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Client-facing experience and confidence interacting with senior stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Insurance licensing (or willingness to obtain) preferred.
