VP, Head of Private Markets Fund Accounting
I am partnering with a leading financial services organization seeking a VP, Head of Private Markets Fund Accounting to lead a large scale private markets fund accounting and operations platform.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced private equity fund accounting leader with a strong track record managing complex fund structures, leading high-performing teams, and driving operational excellence across alternative investments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead private markets fund accounting operations across a diverse portfolio of private equity, private credit, real estate, and other alternative investment funds.
- Oversee delivery of high-quality fund accounting services, including NAV oversight, financial reporting, investor servicing, and operational controls.
- Lead and develop large-scale fund accounting teams across multiple locations.
- Drive process improvements, automation, and technology initiatives to enhance scalability and efficiency.
- Partner with senior stakeholders, clients, and internal teams to improve service delivery and strengthen client relationships.
- Manage operational performance, governance, risk, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills & Experience:
- 15+ years of experience within private equity fund accounting, fund administration, or asset servicing.
- Proven leadership experience managing large fund accounting teams and complex client portfolios.
- Strong technical knowledge of private equity fund structures, including capital calls, distributions, waterfalls, investor allocations, NAV, and financial reporting.
- Experience supporting alternative investment strategies including private equity, private credit, real estate, and infrastructure.
- Demonstrated success driving operational improvements, transformation initiatives, and scalable operating models.
- Strong client-facing, commercial, and stakeholder management skills.
