About the opportunity

We are supporting a leading organisation on a strategic SAP transformation initiative focused on building a new cross-company Asset Collaboration solution.

The project aims to enable seamless collaboration between two independent organisations, each operating their own SAP S/4HANA landscapes, by leveraging SAP Business Network Asset Collaboration (BNAC) and modern SAP integration capabilities.

We are looking for an experienced Senior SAP Solution Architect with a strong background in SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and SAP S/4HANA Asset Management to help define the target architecture, governance model, and integration approach.

This is a strategic architecture role focused on shaping the solution, facilitating workshops, and translating business requirements into scalable SAP solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Analyse and translate business requirements into sustainable SAP solution architectures
  • Design and enhance SAP Business Network Asset Collaboration (BNAC) capabilities
  • Define asset structures, data models, and collaboration processes across organisations
  • Develop concepts for:
    • Asset information management
    • Data ownership
    • Master data governance
    • Data harmonisation and quality management
  • Design integration approaches between multiple SAP S/4HANA environments
  • Support architecture decisions around SAP BTP, SAP Integration Suite, APIs and OData services
  • Define roles, responsibilities, authorisations, and operational models
  • Lead and facilitate workshops with business and IT stakeholders
  • Support testing activities, go-live preparation and hypercare phases
  • Provide guidance on SAP Asset Management best practices

Your profile

We are looking for an experienced SAP professional who combines strong functional knowledge with solution architecture capability.

You should bring:

  • Several years of experience in SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) / SAP S/4HANA Asset Management
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Technical Objects
    • Equipment structures
    • Functional Locations
    • Asset master data
    • Maintenance processes
    • Document management
  • Experience designing SAP solutions across complex landscapes
  • Knowledge of SAP Business Network Asset Collaboration (BNAC) or SAP Asset Intelligence Network (AIN) is highly desirable
  • Experience with:
    • SAP BTP
    • SAP Integration Suite
    • APIs / OData
    • Cloud and hybrid SAP integrations
  • Strong understanding of data governance and ownership models
  • Experience running workshops and engaging with senior business and IT stakeholders
  • Ability to bridge business requirements and technical architecture

Desirable experience

Experience within one or more of the following industries would be advantageous:

  • Utilities
  • Energy
  • Rail / Transportation
  • Infrastructure
  • Manufacturing
  • Industrial environments

Additional experience with asset lifecycle management, operator/manufacturer collaboration models, or SAP AIN would be beneficial.

Languages

  • German: minimum B2 level
  • English: minimum B2 level

The project language is English, with German required for collaboration with local business stakeholders and existing documentation.
